Beneath all my poetry
I am quiet
I am self-contained
I‘m where I want to be
Beneath all my shouting words
I am quiet
I dive under
There‘s nothing I should be
As soon as I close my eyes
I can see you
And I feel like
I‘m already, already home
In the quiet
I hear your heartbeat
so close to my own
In the quiet
I can I hear your heart
beat in time, in time with mine
I plant a garden there
where it’s quiet
I will stay there
until the clouds have passed
Here time is standing still
there is nothing
there is nowhere
That I need, that I need to be
In the quiet
I hear your heartbeat
so close to my own
Only in the quiet
I can hear your heart
beat in time, in time with mine
Weightless like in a dream
we’re together
in a picture
no one else can draw
Beneath all my poetry
deep in my mind
in that darkness
Only you can find me
Beneath all my shouting words
you can hear me
understand me
so I can be quiet
